Space and Harmony

We’ve recently been adding the finishing touches to this beautiful extension in St Ives, Cambs which has given the clients a much needed and very spacious new kitchen / dining room and a fantastically practical utility room and cloakroom.

The Victorian house had a complicated arrangement to the rear elevation, leaving dark and uninviting light wells to both sides of the property and a lack of a functional open plan family space for cooking and dining.  Our new extensions fill in these unused external areas and has allowed the entire width of the back of the building to form a delightful, light-infused kitchen diner with oversized slimline aluminium glazing and a beautifully executed larch clad panel for added texture and interest.

A bespoke hand built kitchen in Little Greene’s Basalt by our friends at Chardome Kitchens topped off with a quartz worktop and Perrin and Rowe brass taps sit beautifully with the oak herringbone floor and a generous terrace completes the design.
