Layne Rowe’s artwork is rooted in his journey into the world of glassmaking. After specialising in hot glass while studying 3D Design at the University of Central Lancashire, Rowe began work at Peter Layton’s Glassblowing Workshop, where he stayed for seven years. Since then, he has set up glass studios in Brazil and Hertfordshire, before rejoining London Glassblowing in 2006.

Rowe’s work ranges from the bright and bold to the delicate and reflective. His glass blown grenades and guns received critical acclaim for their craftsmanship and their peaceful political message. His current project, Woven Forms, combines intricate glasswork with a harmonious blend of lively and more muted colours to create sinuous, natural looking formations.
