Conservation Architecture and Restoration

Our passion for the art of building is reflected inside the unique and historic homes we work on, as well as outside. We believe that once beautifully restored and renovated, a historical building or a modern extension should be showcased by an equally stunning interior which is both complimentary to the origins of the building but also reflects modern living.

With over twenty five years of joinery and building experience and a zest for tackling even the most complex projects, The English Listed have built up a strong team ranging from conservation experts, architects and master trades, and have a wealth of experience in taking a project through the, at times, daunting process of gaining Listed Building Consent.  Recently completed work includes a fifteenth century farmhouse, a 1930s modernist house, a Jacobean residential project, a typically seventeenth century country hall and the restoration of many listed cottages and barns.  We’re currently also involved in our own project; the restoration of a series of period barns to house a gallery, retail space and company headquarters.

“We’ll move mountains to maintain the integrity of the building, but we also want to make it as practical and environmentally sound as possible too. It’s about striking the right balance.” Frazer Stannard, Managing Director.
